Best Web3 SEO Agencies in 2026, Audited Against Client Traffic Data

Best Web3 Seo Agencies in 2026

Updated: September 2026. By Hleb Myrko, founder of RGray.

The best web3 seo agency for a crypto project in 2026 is the one whose published client results still hold up in the client’s own traffic data, and on that test only two of the web3 seo agencies here, RGray and ICODA, published a claim that survived in full. We took two flagship claims from each, found the named client, and checked it against Ahrefs and Similarweb.

Disclosure first: I run RGray, and RGray is on this list in first position. That is a bias. Against it: we were audited by the same method and labels, and where a competitor stands up better I say so in their entry.

The premise: every listicle here, including ones by agencies on it, repeats what agencies say about themselves. Nobody checks. So we pulled the traffic.

How we audited these web3 seo agencies

We took the two client claims each agency features most prominently for crypto, blockchain or Web3 SEO, then tested each against outside data.

A claim entered the sample only if the client is named, its site is live on its own domain, and the claim carries a metric and a timeframe. Unnamed clients, dead or redirected domains, claims with no number or period, and PR work were excluded. Fewer than two qualifying claims is itself the finding.

Each claim gets one of three labels. Corroborated: the claim matches the data on period and rough magnitude. Partially corroborated: growth is visible but smaller, later or shorter than claimed, or the timeline cannot be pinned down. Not publicly verifiable: the data cannot assess the claim. Most case studies bundle two assertions into one sentence, so we test each, label on the ones this method reaches, and name the ones it cannot.

two falship claims per agency, audited

Three limitations matter more than the results. “Not publicly verifiable” is not an accusation: NDAs, private clients and sites too new for reliable estimates are normal, page-level claims cannot be tested with site-level tools, and the label means our method could not reach the claim, not that it is false. Correlation is not attribution: listings, launches, rebrands and the market all move these lines. The tools disagree, and dates are usually missing: Similarweb’s implied organic runs three to four times Ahrefs’ here, and most agencies give a duration without the months.

All data was pulled between 15 and 22 September 2026. Three labels moved as fuller data arrived, in both directions, including one of ours.

Ordering logic: strength of corroborated client results first, then vertical breadth and recency, then specialisation depth. RGray and ICODA each hold one corroborated claim, and ICODA’s was harder to earn. Three through eight are close enough that the gaps are not meaningful, nine and ten scope their claims below what site-level tools see, and the bottom two publish nothing this method can test.

Where the audited clients stand today

The agencies, reviewed

1. RGray

One claim an outside tool checks outright, one it half reaches.

Our CoinLaunch case study makes two assertions. The first: “by 2026, the platform reached up to 7,000 unique visitors per day.” That is an all-channel count from CoinLaunch’s own analytics, which measures where Ahrefs and Similarweb estimate, so no organic-only dataset settles it either way. Ask us for the analytics screen and we will send it. The organic series shows coinlaunch.space going from effectively zero before mid-2023 to a peak of 17,137 estimated monthly organic visits in September 2025, and 12,500 now, organic at 29.93% of traffic.

The second assertion is the one outside tools can test outright: “ranked in the top 1-5 positions for its main commercial topics.” On 21 September 2026 Ahrefs put coinlaunch.space at 1,640 ranking keywords, 365 in positions 1-3 and 1,124 in 4-10. Its commercial core sits inside the claim: coin launch at position 1, “presale crypto” list at 1.3, “crypto launchpad” at 1.7, “crypto presale” at 2.6 on 2.4K searches, “best crypto presale” at 4.3 on 4.0K. Those are the terms a launch platform is bought for, contested by exchanges, aggregators and paid media. Corroborated.

goodcryptoX is where a traffic total is the wrong instrument. Similarweb puts goodcrypto.app at 102,622 visits in August 2026, organic is 18.21% of that, and Ahrefs has organic down 54% since December 2025. Difficulty says otherwise. Its bot page holds position 12 in the US for “ai trading bot” on 6.8K searches, position 1 in Italy, Germany and Malaysia, 12 on “crypto trading bot” at KD 82. Its homepage holds position 10 on “best crypto trading app” (KD 74) and 12 on “best crypto app” (KD 80), against a page one of Coinbase, Binance and Crypto.com. Holding those without an exchange balance sheet is the result. Partially corroborated.

  • Best for: Enterprise Web3, crypto trading and DeFi products, AI-search visibility.
  • What the client data shows: 365 keywords in positions 1-3 on one client, Tier 1 first-page positions on the other.
  • Where it wins: Ranking against exchanges and media on their own terms.
  • Watch-out: Both case studies give an end point, no start date. We are rewriting them.
  • Pricing: $4,499 to $17,499 per package.

Our web3 SEO agency and crypto AI SEO pages carry the detail.

2. ICODA

The only agency here that dated a growth claim and had the dates hold.

The 20lab claim names its window precisely: 1 October 2025 to 26 January 2026, for “+80% organic traffic”. Ahrefs shows 20lab.app rising across exactly that period from a near-zero base, and it holds 384 ranking positions now, 103 of them top three. Corroborated. Scale is the caveat: 20lab.app sits at 1,055 monthly organic visits, so the 80% came off a small base. The Godex claim of “2.7x organic traffic” is weaker: godex.io’s climb is real but runs eight months, January to August 2026, not the eighteen implied, and peaks at 14,985, not 20,634. Partially corroborated.

  • Best for: Token launches, exchanges and crypto tooling.
  • What the client data shows: One claim confirmed on its dates, one smaller than published.
  • Where it wins: It dated a growth claim and the dates held, a harder test than the ranking snapshot ours passed. We publish nothing checkable that way.
  • Watch-out: The Godex case omits dates.
  • Pricing: From $10,000/month (third-party listing).

3. SeoProfy

A generalist with one crypto client, the largest property here.

The Changelly claim is “6x organic traffic growth in 9 months” from August 2021. Nine months on is May 2022, where Ahrefs shows 171,798 monthly organic across 90,729 ranking positions: a steep climb starting when the agency says it started, though not 6x on outside numbers. changelly.com sits at 229,000 today. Partially corroborated, and the most durable result here. Nothing RGray has published is within an order of magnitude of that footprint.

  • Best for: Crypto exchanges and multilingual properties at scale.
  • What the client data shows: A large, still-growing property.
  • Where it wins: Durability. The only result still growing after write-up.
  • Watch-out: One crypto case study. The rest is forex, iGaming and ecommerce.
  • Pricing: Not published.

4. Techtonic Marketing

Names small clients, publishes big percentages, honest and misleading at once.

“2,300% in 2 years” is easy from a near-zero base, and that is what the data shows: professionalcryptorecovery.com had no organic presence before January 2024, climbed to a mid-2025 peak, and sits at 136 monthly organic visits. Growth real, base tiny. Partially corroborated. The Soba claim, “from under 10 clicks/day to 200 clicks/day”, checks out on keywords: soba.xyz reached 3,188 ranking positions by November 2023 against 2,400 claimed. But Ahrefs puts that peak at 1,993 a month, about 66 clicks a day, and the site holds 41 now. Partially corroborated.

  • Best for: Early-stage Web3 sites starting from zero.
  • What the client data shows: Real growth on both, from bases small enough to flatter percentages.
  • Where it wins: It names clients most agencies this size anonymise.
  • Watch-out: Both sit below their peaks. Read the percentages as absolute numbers.
  • Pricing: $3,000 to $10,000/month.

5. High Voltage SEO

Two named crypto clients, two real climbs, no dates.

The CoinJar claim of “a 55% increase in organic traffic, a 1.7x increase in keywords ranking in positions 4-10” over six months matches a real climb: coinjar.com rose into a September 2024 peak before settling at a flat 9,700 monthly organic. No dates are published, so those six months cannot be located. Partially corroborated. The MXC claim of “a 13x increase in organic traffic” looked untestable until the all-time history was pulled. Across that window mxc.org rises from a negligible base to sustained weekly readings in the thousands, reaching 6,736 against 914 referring domains at DR 55 in the week of 31 March 2025. A 13x step sits inside that range; only the date is missing, so the label moves up to partially corroborated rather than confirmed. MXC is now Moonchain: mxc.org carries two organic keywords and no traffic, moonchain.com DR 33 and 22 visits.

  • Best for: Crypto exchanges and consumer fintech in Australia, the UK and US.
  • What the client data shows: Two genuine build phases, neither locatable in time.
  • Where it wins: It reports mid-page keyword movement, the leading indicator most hide. We do not.
  • Watch-out: One of its two named clients rebranded onto an empty domain.
  • Pricing: Not published.

6. NinjaPromo

Broad crypto roster, claims describing a period since reversed.

The Zoomex claim is a two-month blog relaunch producing 6.3K organic traffic and 1,600-plus indexed keywords. zoomex.com built from near zero through 2023 to a peak around September 2024, earlier than the stated Q2 2025 window, and holds 145 keywords and 3,100 monthly organic. The growth happened; the numbers and timing sit differently. Partially corroborated. The Crypto Basic claim of “+20-50% tag page visibility” is scoped to the /tag/ directory and cannot be isolated at site level, where thecryptobasic.com peaked around May 2025 and has declined to 11,300. Not publicly verifiable.

  • Best for: Exchanges and media wanting search inside a wider programme.
  • What the client data shows: Real build phases, now below the published figures.
  • Where it wins: The only published results here for a crypto news site.
  • Watch-out: No dates on either case study.
  • Pricing: $3,200 to $9,600/month.

7. Coinbound

The largest named roster in crypto marketing, and its hardest claims.

The SoulSwap claim, first-page rankings for 18 keywords in three months, has a real period behind it: soulswap.finance held first-page positions through late 2023 into early 2024, then fell to zero. Partially corroborated. The Uphold claim, “in 1 month, we increased Uphold’s DR by 24 points”, is about link authority, and Ahrefs shows uphold.com’s Domain Rating flat from January 2022 to September 2026, currently 75. A 24-point jump would be unmissable, so the undated case study most likely predates it. Not publicly verifiable.

  • Best for: Crypto brands wanting influencer, PR and community work.
  • What the client data shows: One client at zero, one claim outside the window.
  • Where it wins: Roster. Nobody else has this many recognisable names.
  • Watch-out: Its published results carry no dates and no case study pages.
  • Pricing: Not published.

8. ColdChain Agency

One named client, the best-trending property in the audit.

The Rootstock claim is “+16% organic traffic” on a trailing 90 days, plus organic search leadership in Bitcoin DeFi against Stacks, GOBOB and Merlin. This audit tests one client domain per claim, so the comparative half is out of scope by design, not unproven. On the traffic half, rootstock.io is in a sustained uptrend at a five-year high in September 2026, consistent with a positive quarter, though the window cannot be isolated. Partially corroborated. Its second case study withholds the client under NDA.

  • Best for: Bitcoin L2s, protocols and developer-facing infrastructure.
  • What the client data shows: The strongest current trajectory here.
  • Where it wins: It names the competitors it claims to beat, so anyone can check. Nobody else does, us included.
  • Watch-out: One publishable client. The other is under NDA.
  • Pricing: Not published.

9. Victoria Olsina

The most disciplined claims here, and the ones we can say least about.

The Safe claim is “35x enterprise keyword visibility, from 5.79% to 40.88%”, scoped to a keyword set and new pages. We first read safe.global’s climb into August 2025 as consistent with it. The keyword detail, pulled on 17 September 2026, shows that was wrong. The site’s organic profile is 91.7% one URL, the homepage, at 4,466 of 4.9K monthly visits, and its largest terms are branded: “gnosis safe” at 423 visits, plus “gnosissafe” and “safe wallet” variants. The biggest non-branded term near the top is “multisig wallet”, and the institutional page draws 17 visits a month on one keyword. The growth we pointed at is brand demand, and the enterprise set is too small to register. Not publicly verifiable. The Notabene claim, page one within 19 days of a 15 May launch, cannot be reached either: the case study omits the year, and a 19-day page-level result leaves no trace. Not publicly verifiable.

Position nine reflects what our method could reach, not what she does. Claims narrow enough to be falsifiable are also claims outside tools cannot confirm.

  • Best for: Enterprise Web3, stablecoin infrastructure, AI search.
  • What the client data shows: Nothing that bears on either claim.
  • Where it wins: Query-level reporting discipline nobody else attempts.
  • Watch-out: Undated case studies. Add years and both become checkable.
  • Pricing: Not published.

10. Coinpresso

The vaguest claim here, on its largest client.

The claim is “Binance: doubled organic traffic in 12 months through crypto SEO”. No case study page, no start month, no market, no page set, no starting number. Nothing in it is narrow enough to test. All it hands us is site-wide organic, and binance.com sits at 13.3M estimated monthly organic across 156K keywords, dominated by brand and app demand. It did not double in any recent 12-month window. Not publicly verifiable, so ask for the scope first. Its second claim, Ruby Play Network, was excluded because rubyplaynet.com redirects elsewhere.

  • Best for: Crypto brands wanting search bundled with launch marketing.
  • What the client data shows: Nothing testable at this resolution.
  • Where it wins: The only case study here on a top-tier exchange.
  • Watch-out: No URLs, dates or scope, and the second claim sits on a redirect.
  • Pricing: Not published.

11. GuerrillaBuzz

A dedicated blockchain search page and a strong roster including CoinGecko, Fetch.ai, Bancor and MEXC, with no organic traffic or ranking number attached to any of them. Its case studies are PR, measured in reach and estimated views, and the only search figures on the service page, 84K organic sessions and +196%, carry no client name. Its PR outcomes are better documented than RGray’s, but nothing enters the audit.

  • Best for: Web3 PR and tier-one crypto media coverage.
  • What the client data shows: Nothing. No named client carries a search metric.
  • Where it wins: PR documentation quality.
  • Watch-out: Buying search? Ask for a named client with an organic number.
  • Pricing: Not published.

12. MarketAcross

Sixteen named clients including Avalanche, Ubisoft, Polygon and Ankr, all measured in published articles and readership. Search is a listed service, and the Simplex page mentions “prime Google visibility” without a number. Nothing to test.

  • Best for: Large-scale Web3 content distribution and PR.
  • What the client data shows: Nothing search-specific.
  • Where it wins: Distribution scale no specialist here matches.
  • Watch-out: Content volume is not search performance, and its metrics measure volume.
  • Pricing: Not published.

Best blockchain SEO agency options

Blockchain SEO, Web3 SEO and crypto SEO are one discipline. The word tracks what a client calls itself: a protocol says blockchain, an app crypto, a token project Web3.

They split by client type. For protocols, L2s and developer-facing infrastructure, ColdChain Agency’s Rootstock work is the closest match and Victoria Olsina’s Safe engagement the closest institutional analogue. ICODA and NinjaPromo lean toward exchanges and launches, SeoProfy and High Voltage SEO are generalists proven on exchanges, and RGray’s clients are a listing platform and a trading app.

Choosing on broader marketing rather than search? The best crypto marketing agency comparison covers the same market.

What a web3 technical seo agency actually has to fix

A web3 technical seo agency earns its fee on eight failures that barely exist outside crypto.

what actually breaks on a web3 site

JavaScript dApp rendering. Crypto products ship as client-side shells and Googlebot renders them inconsistently, so the blog ranks while the product stays invisible. Server-render every route you want found.

Indexability. A staging robots.txt shipped to production, a noindex left on a template, a canonical pointing at a preview host, a route returning 200 with an empty body. Crypto teams relaunch often, so these last longer here. Crawl monthly and diff the index status.

Docs competing with marketing. Developer docs are dense, heavily linked and relevant, so they outrank the pages that sell. Decide which subdomain owns which intent, then interlink.

Token and ticker cannibalisation. A token page, a blog explainer and an exchange listing compete for one ticker. Google picks one, usually not yours. Consolidate to one canonical page per asset.

Thin programmatic pages. One template times four hundred assets says nothing a price widget does not. Add what only you have: on-chain metrics, holder counts, audit status.

Hosting and IPFS crawl issues. Gateways time out, rotate and serve the same content on different hosts, so crawlers see duplication. Serve the crawlable version from a stable origin.

Redirects. Rebrands, ticker changes and chain migrations are constant here, and each leaves chains, loops and 302s where 301s belong. MXC to Moonchain is this audit’s live example: authority does not walk across by itself. Map every old URL to one live target in one hop.

Entity consistency. Explorers, aggregators and listing databases carry three spellings of your name, two logos and a contract address you deprecated a year ago. Search engines and AI assistants build their picture of you from that mess, and generative engine optimization means those records now feed the answers people get.

Google and Meta restrict crypto ads heavily, pushing budget toward organic either way.

How to verify an agency’s case studies yourself

You can run this on any agency in fifteen minutes with one SEO tool.

verify an seo case study in 15 minutes
  1. Find the named client. No client named, nothing to check. Note the exact metric and period.
  2. Confirm the domain is live. Parked, dead or redirected moves the history elsewhere.
  3. Pull the organic history. Longest window available. You want the curve’s shape.
  4. Align the timeline. Does the rise begin when the engagement began, and reach the claimed size inside the window?
  5. Check what else changed. A rebrand, migration, listing, launch or bull market all move the line, and the agency’s contribution stops being isolable.

A step you cannot complete is a finding, not evidence of dishonesty. Usually the claim was scoped below what site-level tools see. Every reading is below.

FAQ

Who are the best web3 seo agencies?

Two claims survived in full: ICODA’s dated growth claim for 20lab, and RGray’s ranking claim for CoinLaunch, where 365 keywords sit in positions 1-3. SeoProfy’s Changelly engagement is the largest verified organic property, and Techtonic Marketing and High Voltage SEO had both claims partially corroborated. Nobody has a deep bench of checkable results, so ask for a named client and a date before signing.

What does Web3 SEO actually involve?

Three things, in rough order of impact: fixing crypto-specific technical failures like dApp rendering, indexability and token cannibalisation; building topical authority against exchanges and media with huge domain strength; and keeping entity records consistent across explorers, aggregators and listings. Content production is the visible part and least differentiated.

How do I <mark>find web3 seo agencies that specialize in crypto</mark> rather than generalists who added a crypto page?

Ask for a named crypto client, a metric, and the calendar months the engagement ran, then run the five-step check above. That eliminated most of the field: agencies either named clients without a metric, or published metrics without the client. Specialists talk about rendering, canonicals and entity records, not content volume.

How much does Web3 SEO cost?

Most agencies here do not publish pricing. The public figures sit between roughly $3,000 and $10,000 a month for specialist retainers, and RGray’s packages run $4,499 to $17,499. Treat a quote below $3,000 a month with caution, because link acquisition alone consumes most of it.

How long does Web3 SEO take to work?

20lab.app moved inside about four months from a near-zero base. changelly.com took nine months for a major step and four years to compound. Expect early ranking movement in three to four months, meaningful traffic in six to nine, a durable position in twelve to eighteen. Anyone promising faster is describing keywords nobody searches.
